Forming part of The City of Melbourne’s 2020 City Vision document, Large Arts produced a set of
renders to articulate the aspirational vision for key areas in the City of Melbourne between 2019
and 2026. Each image required striking a sensitive balance between preservation of the
heritage and character of each area and future changes. For some areas anticipated change
was minor, while for others fairly radical.
Photography was used extensively to ground each image in highly recognisable context while developing the future vision of each area by showcasing amenity and usage as well as the interface between old and new.
